The Festival is expected to attract between 300 and 480 competitors and over 1000 spectators during the course of the day. Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant, the Chinese Consul General and various other local and national dignitaries, as well as representatives of all sections of the press and media have been invited to attend this festival thereby affording a unique opportunity for promotion and brand recognition for companies and organisations. This is an event new to Dumfries and will attract interest not only from Dumfries and Galloway but also from outside the region.

The Dragon Boat Race is fully funded from boat entry fees but the shore based activities, which turn the event into a festival, require sponsorship for them to take place. There are 2 categories of sponsorship

This premier package includes the following:

Print advertising

• Prominent display of Company name and logo on all posters, letterheads and promotional materials (with the exception of team entry forms which have already gone out)
• Opportunity to display company signage on Start and Finish lines (sole signage) and either side of the course
• Company name and Logo displayed prominently on website with link to your home page custom sponsor page
• A full page advert in the Festival Programme
• Acknowledgement of corporate support in all media advertising and post-event communications.

• Company name and Logo displayed prominently on race results board
• Company name and Logo on front of one Dragon Boat
• Sole opportunity for corporate sample products, services or promotional items to be distributed to all festival participants in their registration packs

Public Relations

• Exclusive use of the Rowing Club Lounge and Bar for the duration of the event with sole access to the building’s balcony which has an uninterrupted view of the Course and the finish line. Provision of food and drinks by arrangement (Cantonese and Thai banquet packages can be provided).
• One complimentary team registration – value £425 – which can be used by the sponsor or donated to an organisation of choice as a vehicle to fund raise specifically for their own use.
• Broadcast acknowledgement, pre-festival and at the festival, of your support
